The waters continue to rise.

Another levee broke on Lake Ponchartrain yesterday, inundating yet another part of New Orleans with deep waters. The city is 80 percent under water.
My precious ones have checked in, they rode it out, but my poor sister city. Oh gawd. She’s devastated. So many friends, so worried. So much destruction.

  1. I have a feeling that it’s going to get a lot worse. The flood water is going to be contaminated by dead bodies and excrements and chemicals, and it’s also going to be infested with poisonous snakes and alligators. MSNBC says that the people who thought they were tough and decided to stay behind instead of evacuating are not going to live to regret it. There’s over 80 people dead, 1 million people homeless, and 26 billion dollars in insurance claims. The electricity down there won’t be back on for a couple of months, and because of Katrina’s damage, gas prices are going to go up to $3 a gallon. God help us all.
